The cold weather today gave me a chilling reminder that Christmas is just around the corner. For the next week, my daughter will remain super excited about wearing her Halloween costume (Marshall from the Paw Patrol) and trick or treating, but then it will be all about family, toys, and Christmas FUN! And that usually starts with setting up a Christmas tree.
I won’t be setting up a Christmas tree right away, but it’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas tree decorating ideas. This year, I’m thinking about getting a new artificial Christmas tree. The one I have is great, but it’s a bit out-dated and starting to fall apart now that it’s older (wow, that sounds familiar *lol*).
I’ve been looking online for artificial Christmas tree ideas, and I have two main priorities. I want an easy to setup and assemble artificial Christmas tree, and I want the fake Christmas tree to look realistic. Is that asking too much? Sometimes it seems that way. Don’t even get me started on all the cussing, cursing, and branch throwing artificial Christmas trees have caused me in the past. Grrr!
So what’s the easiest artificial Christmas tree to assemble that still looks pretty realistic? I think I’ve narrowed it down to about a dozen choices. That may still sound like a lot, but not when you consider the hundreds of fake Christmas trees I’ve stubbornly searched through.
You can see the list of the most realistic easy assembly artificial Christmas trees below. Which one do you like best?
I think I’m leaning toward the Blue Spruce. It’s so pretty, but I also really love the Carolina Pine! If you live in an apartment or don’t have a lot of space for a large, bushy tree, then be sure to take a look at this pencil tree. It looks stunning squeezed into a corner.

5′ Canadian Pine Artificial Christmas Tree – Unlit – Found Here – This 5′ Canadian pine would work great in a small apartment or anywhere you’re limited by space. It’s adorable, and a really good fake Christmas tree for the price.
National Tree 7-1/2 Foot Prelit Artificial North Valley Spruce Tree Found Here – Another of the easy setup artificial Christmas trees is this North Valley Spruce with hinged branches. Branches fall into place nicely so there’s less “fluffing” to do.

Balsam Hill 6.5 ft. Blue Spruce Artificial Christmas Tree Found Here – This might be my favorite. I think it’s absolutely gorgeous and from looking at the reviews, I’m definitely not the only one who feels that way! It comes in sizes ranging from 4.5 to 9′ and can be purchased unlit or with clear lights. With 2,144 branch tips, there’s lots of room for ornaments! If the ornament boxes stored in my garage are any indicator, I’ll need every one of them!

Balsam Hill Balsam Fir Premium Artificial Christmas Tree, 7.5 Feet, Unlit Found Here– Balsam Hill Christmas trees are known for incredible realism. Because these are some of the most realistic fake Christmas trees around, you’ll commonly see them on the sets of top TV shows like The Doctors and HGTV. I don’t think they’re quite as easy to assemble as some of the other fake Christmas trees on this list, but there’s no denying they are beautiful! This particular tree is a Balsam fir that comes in sizes ranging from 5.5 ft to 9ft. You can also get it with clear lights, multi-colored lights, or unlit.
Balsam Hill Vermont White Spruce Premium Artificial Christmas Tree, 4.5 Feet, Unlit Found Here – Last on my list of realistic fake Christmas trees is another offering from Balsam Hill. This is a maximum 12 foot artificial Christmas tree (sizes offered range from 4.5 ft to 12 ft) that includes fairly easy setup and can be purchased with or without lights. Gorgeous even when not decorated!
