“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in!” Passed down from generation to generation, The Three Little Pigs is a story almost everyone knows and an all-time favorite among kids of all ages. From cute and imaginative books to animated cartoons and videos, the story has been retold in many forms, but the basics of the tale are always the same.
The three little piggies have to outwit the big, bad wolf who threatens to blow their houses down if they don’t let him in. “Little pig, little pig, let me come in,” cries the wolf. “No, no. Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin!” reply the pigs. And it’s game on!
But will it keep your children interested and entertained? Or will it quickly become just another toy that gets tossed into the, “I’m never going to play with that ever again” bin? Find out by reading our complete Smart Games Three Little Piggies review down below.
Smart Games Three Little Piggies Review
Based on the classic tale, Smart Games has created an innovative puzzle game that’s both educational and extremely fun for kids. Educational AND fun? It doesn’t get much better than that! They call it the Three Little Piggies Multi-Level Logic Game.
When playing the Three Little Piggies Smart Game, kids use 3 big puzzle pieces and a set of 4 adorable miniatures (representing the 3 little pigs and the big bad wolf) to solve 48 different challenges. The idea is simple, but with so many unique challenges, the game never gets boring.
Young children stay occupied for hours as they exercise their mind and develop logical thinking skills that help the piggies build their houses, play outside, and get away from the big bad wolf.
The Three Little Piggies game consists of 4 different skill levels. In increasing order of difficulty, these are starter, junior, expert, and master.
Starter puzzles are perfect for the youngest players who can use them to build confidence without getting frustrated. At the same time, expert and master puzzles ensure older children will be challenged and won’t get bored from the game being “too easy”. The Three Little Piggies game is recommended for children between the ages of 3 and 6.
Game play is designed for one person, and the large puzzle pieces are easy for little fingers to grasp, pick-up, and place in the appropriate spot. If you have multiple children, they can take turns solving challenges individually or they can work together to solve each challenge before moving on to the next.
Three Little Piggies by Smart Games also offers two ways to play: with or without the wolf. Day challenges don’t include the wolf and night challenges do. The 48 challenges (24 day and 24 night) and their solutions are presented in a booklet that comes as part of the game set.
Also included is a cute story book that tells the tale of the three little pigs. Because the storybook uses pictures instead of words, it’s incredibly easy for kids to understand and interpret exactly what’s going on in the story and relate that to the game board.
Solving puzzles is a great way to teach children how to think logically and how to overcome obstacles and challenges to reach a goal. The Three Little Piggies by Smart Games definitely shines in this regard. It’s creative, intuitive, and a heck of a lot of fun!
